3/31/2023 0 Comments Splashtop personal hold keyWhen I got there 2½ weeks ago to start bringing some of my stuff to my new apt., I asked her if she was Ana. I'd spoken with "Ana" several times over the 2 years when I made payments on the locker and we had some nice conversations. When I got back here and started digging around in all my stuff that I'd thought was gone forever, you can't imagine the grin on my face. The lady at the facility dug around in there a couple of months later, getting ready to auction it all off when she had my name and phone # on it and gave me a call. Many of my belongings were damaged by being thrown into a pile. They picked it all up, OK, but dumped it - and I mean dumped it - in a storage facility in Las Cruces, NM, then abandoned the whole thing. Those people were supposed to pick up my belongings in Silver City and deliver it all to Inverness, FL, at which time I'd pay them the 50% balance. I'd sure like to get my hands on "John" of S&M Relo.might well land me in prison. The one I bought in FL to replace it has turned out to be far superior in every way and will remain my primary go-to. IIRC, (it's been 2 years and it appears you're correct about them not liking to sit) that computer was getting very draggy and slow anyway, so time for a System Restore in it/on it.whatever. There's a small computer repair downtown that I'll pay a visit to today. Testing on another computer confirmed that. Nothing has any effect, tho' the mouse does work and I was able to type a line that showed the keyboard is working. There is supposed to be a special key on the keyboard or computer to start it in Splashtop mode or windows mode. On older computers, the F8 key would bring up a menu to say what boots first, that may be where it boots Splashtop from and you may be able to change it to Windows. You could try that or the F8 key and see what your options are, If you get it to boot in windows then you will need to figure out how to stop it from booting the Splashtop OS on startupĪ couple of suggestions were to do a hard shutdown by holding the power button down until the computer shuts off and then restarting it. One site said to press or hold down the F10 key and then choose start normally to boot Windows. The computer is booting the Splashtop OS rather than Windows. The only thing I can pull up on the gear icon that makes any sense is "System Restore." That's pretty extreme and means a lot of extra work.but it may be my only option.Īfter some research, it appears Splashtop is a Linux-based operating system. Google says to hit the gear icon, then choose "close Splashtop," but the gear icon doesn't show anything like that. It's more than full screen and there's no X button to hit to close it. C,A,D has no effect and Task Manager doesn't open. No way to close it and no keys work on it. It's apparently a way to bypass starting Windows. But the above should still kill the process running, If it is not an app, I got n clue, never heard of it. Then go to the start-up apps menu and find Splashtop and disable it on startup. See what processes are running and end Splashtop. If it is an app loading on start-up, then the following should fix it, When it is started, hold down the ctrl, alt, and del keys at the same time and open the task manager. Is it an app that is opening and you can't close it? The only thing I can google about Splashtop is some remote access app. 600 FS Manufacturers Forums (now merged into BOATING).1.3K Classified: Paddle Craft and Accessories.26.5K Classifieds Ads Forums (5 Forums).17.4K Southeast General Fishing & The Outdoors.2.6K Panhandle General Fishing & The Outdoors.13.7K Northwest General Fishing & The Outdoors.21.9K Northeast General Fishing & The Outdoors.7.6K Southwest General Fishing & The Outdoors.9.4K East Central General Fishing & The Outdoors.10.3K West Central General Fishing & The Outdoors.2K Ten Thousand Islands General Fishing & The Outdoors.9.4K Big Bend General Fishing & The Outdoors.8.4K South General Fishing & The Outdoors.9.6K Keys General Fishing & The Outdoors.112.4K Regions-Fishing Reports (11 Forums).55.7K General Outdoors Forums (8 Forums).
